Apple removes parental control app from App Store

Apple has said that the "parental control" type of apps are being removed from their app store due to personal privacy. The New York Times reported that 11 of these 17 apps were already removed. These apps could monitor the use of children's phones by the guardians.

However, two app-manufacturing companies in the European Union complained about the issue. In response to this, Apple said in a statement that these apps have been removed from the danger of losing the personal information of the customer. These apps could collect customer location, app usage, email, camera, browsing information etc. Apple also said that app companies are given 30 days to modify the modes. In the meantime, those who did not modify their apps were removed in the statement.

Apple also said it was not a competition. Rather, the initiative is to give maximum priority to the security of the information of the customer. However, based on the first news report, Apple has responded to their website.
