Tesla cars can be bought with bitcoin, says Elon Musk

 


Tesla is now accepting bitcoin payments, as promised earlier this year. The information came from Tesla's website and CEO Elon Musk's tweet. News Engadget.

In a series of tweets, the head of Tesla said that Tesla will consider bitcoin payments as bitcoin. It will not be converted to ordinary currency. Tesla has used internal, open source software to launch the service, and Tesla will manage Bitcoin nodes directly.

This service is currently available for US customers only. However, Elon Musk added that Bitcoin payment facilities will be introduced in countries outside the United States later this year.

Apparently Tesla will not accept any cryptocurrency other than Bitcoin. Customers have to pay the full amount through one transaction. This payment can be made by scanning the QR code or copying and pasting the bitcoin address.

YouTube has shut down 5 TV channels in Myanmar


The US-based technology company Alphabet's video-sharing site YouTube has removed five television channels run by the Myanmar army from its platform.

The five channels that have been removed include state-run Myanmar Radio and Television (MRTV) as well as army-controlled Mayawadi Media, MW Variety and MWD Myanmar.

A spokesman for YouTube confirmed to Reuters that several channels had been shut down and many videos had been removed in accordance with the Community Goodline and applicable laws.

He said the move was in response to the military's ouster of a democratic government in the Southeast Asian nation in February.

Earlier, Facebook authorities also banned the Myanmar Army and all related accounts and pages on their platform.
