News and weather updates are coming to the Windows 10 taskbar

This time Apple is bringing Touch ID to iMac

Huawei is going to be banned in Romania!

Verizon shuts down 3G It's network

 


Last January, Verizon spokesman Kevin King said the company apparently had no strong plans to shut down its 3G network. However, it has changed quickly. Verizon's 3G network will be shut down on December 31 next year. News Engadget.

Mike Heiberman, vice president of network engineering at Verizon, announced the closure of the 3G network on Wednesday. Currently, less than one percent of Verizon's total subscribers use 3G networks. The remaining 99 percent use 4G LTE or 5G, he said.

For almost a year, Verizon has been campaigning to shut down their 3G CDMA services. In 2012, the company launched 4G LTE service. The company has been thinking of shutting down 3G services since 2014.
