Romania last week approved a new law that would ban Huawei from building a FiveG network in the country. As it relates to the 2019 Washington Accords, any future partnership between Huawei and Romania will be banned.
Not all organizations participating in the creation of the country's FiveG network can be controlled by foreign governments. Everyone must have a transparent and own ownership structure. At the same time there must be legal validity to adhere to transparent corporate practices.
The bill is awaiting parliamentary approval, which is expected to be completed in the next few weeks.
