This is the first time that Fitbit is going to unveil a device after the acquisition process by Google, even though it is not a Wire OS smartwatch. According to a leaked information from WinFuture, it will be 'Fitbit Lux', which is basically a 'luxury' fitness tracker.
The device uses a stainless steel case. There is an LED screen. There will be GPS, heart rate monitor and swimming-friendly waterproof system. Its interchangeable straps are not commonly found on fitness trackers. Fitbit is building the device with the promise of controlled health with excellent design.
Although the release date is not yet known, it is expected that the device will be unveiled soon. But the biggest challenge will be the price. Surely Fitbit is bringing this device to the premium customers, which will make it harder to compete with the cheaper trackers.
