Intel's growth on cheap notebooks is 33 percent

As we already know, 2020 was one of the best years for the personal computer business. Intel's fourth-quarter report found further confirmation of the matter. Compared to the previous year, Intel's PC business has grown by 33 percent in 2020.

According to the report, the income of the notebook business alone has increased by 30 percent. Intel's client computing group earned 10.9 billion in the fourth quarter, up 9 percent from the same period last year.

And Intel's cheap notebook has worked behind this success. In the ongoing Covid-19 epidemic, the price of Intel notebooks has dropped by about 15 percent, so consumers have also taken a leap.

In addition to the PC business, Intel's Mobile self-driving technology division also saw a 39 percent increase in revenue. Through which the revenue has exceeded the expected 2.6 billion dollars in October. The company's total revenue in the fourth quarter was 20 billion, of which profit was 5.9 billion.

The design of the MacBook Pro is changing

Last November, Apple added a new powerful M1 chip to their MacBook Pro and MacBook Air, but not much else. In terms of performance, the new MacBook did not make much of a splash in terms of design. However, from the leaked information, it is known that big changes are coming.

Xiaomi on the US blacklist

After Huawei, the Trump administration has turned its attention to Xiaomi, another top Chinese smartphone maker. On Thursday, the Trump administration blacklisted nine companies, including Xiaomi, for consideration related to China's military.

Xiaomi is currently the third-largest smartphone maker in the world. As a result of the special blacklisting in the United States, no investor in the country will be able to invest in the Chinese company. Even if one has an investment in the nine listed companies, it has to be withdrawn by November 11 this year.

Surprisingly, so far the Trump administration has not presented any evidence that Xiaomi or any other company is involved with the Chinese military. This new list has been published secretly all of a sudden.

Earlier, the administration blacklisted more than 60 companies in the telecommunications and semiconductor sectors, including Huawei and SMIC. That list includes DJI, the world's largest drone manufacturer.

However, companies can import technology from the United States without a license. However, many are hoping that the Biden administration's orders will be revoked on January 20. Still just looking at what is in the foreheads of companies!

Trump is also banned on YouTube

After Facebook and Twitter, Donald Trump was also banned on YouTube. Trump will not be able to upload videos and live streaming from his channel for at least a week.

The decision was made after the channel took a strike, according to Google-owned YouTube. Prohibition time may increase.

Local time on Tuesday evening before the shutdown, President Trump posted several videos, some of which are still online.

However, a spokesman for YouTube told CNN Business that a video from Trump's channel had provoked violence. Without giving details of the video, YouTube says it has already been removed.

In a statement, YouTube said, "We found that a special video from Trump's YouTube account was provocative. That's why we removed the video. Action has since been taken against the account for breach of policy. According to our strike system, new videos cannot be uploaded or live-streamed for seven days at this time. This period may be extended further.

'Ice Robot' is coming

A few days ago we learned about making drones with pineapple leaves. And this time it was known about the robot made of ice.

This 'ice robot' was created by a team of researchers from the University of Pennsylvania's Grap Lab. This robot capable of reconstructing itself will be sent to space missions.

Details of the robot were unveiled at the International Conference on Intelligent Robots and Systems (IROS). It is reported that since ice will be found in all galaxies, these ice robots will be able to repair themselves. Automatic configuration feature has been added to the robot. Replica robots can also be made easily.

The ice robot weighs only 7.3 kilograms. Can move comfortably if not melted at room temperature.

Researchers are very optimistic about this ice robot. Devin Carroll, a member of the research team, told IEEE Spectrum that he and his co-inventor Mark Yim invented the ice robot with the intention of building a robotic system operated from remotely available material in remote or hostile environments.

Foxconn unveiled a set of tools last year, according to CNBC. With this tool, car manufacturers will be able to design large parts for electric vehicles. The Taiwanese company will later produce these parts. In addition to car chassis, this tool also contains software.

Japan builds 'wooden' satellite

Sumitomo Forestry, a Japanese company, and Kyoto University are jointly building the world's first wooden satellite. To be successful in building it by 2023, Sumitomo Forestry has already begun research on tree growth and the use of wood components in space.

Takao Doi, a professor at Kyoto University and a Japanese astronaut, told the BBC: "The next step in the research is to create an engineering model of the satellite, then we will produce a flight model."

Doi went to the International Space Station in March 2008 as an astronaut. He was the first human to launch a boomerang in space during that mission. The boomerang was designed to work in microgravity.

Sumitomo Forestry is part of the Sumitomo Group. The company says it will be made of wood that is highly tolerant to temperature and sun changes.

According to the World Economic Forum, about six thousand satellites are orbiting the earth. About 60 percent of this is space garbage.

Research firm Euroconsult estimates that an average of 990 satellites will be launched each year this decade. As a result, by 2028, the number of satellites in orbit may be about 15 thousand.
