Samsung's semiconductor manufacturing division plans to invest about 10 billion in Texas, where 3-nanometer chips will be made. This information was given by GSM Arena quoting a Chinese media.
The Texas plant will be the world's most advanced chip-making plant. And as a place, Texas will help Samsung capture more customers in the United States. At the same time, it will help Taiwanese chipmaker TSMC compete.
Samsung's plan is still in its infancy. Construction will begin this year. The installation of the main parts will start from 2022. All in all, the factory will take 2023 to come into production.
