Google won't offer free unlimited photo backups after June 1st

The most interesting feature in Google Photos is closing. From June 1, 2021, uploading 'high quality' photos and videos will be cut from the 15 GB space provided by the user. And if anyone wants to use more of this space, customers will have to pay a fee for Google One storage. News Engadget.

Currently, backing up 'high quality' photos and videos does not count from the 15 GB of space reserved for free Google service users. However, this facility will be available till June 1 next year.

As a result, the user has time to consider whether to use the service. But for now, Pixel users have no reason to worry about buying extra space.

When Google Photos was launched in 2015, its special attraction was that users could save their memories without having to worry about deleting anything.

To adapt to the new decision, Google plans to launch a new tool that will allow users to easily manage their photos and videos. It is advisable to mark and delete images that are blurry or dark.

Those who want to enjoy Google One, that is, the additional memory facility of Google, can use 100 GB of storage for $2 per month.

Tiktok will hire three thousand engineers

TikTok plans to hire about 3,000 engineers in the next three years. The short video platform told Reuters that the manpower would be recruited, especially in Europe, Canada and Singapore.

This suggests that TikTok has not backed down from its plans to expand its global business despite the pressure of partial sale of ownership. President Donald Trump has ordered the sale of U.S. shares of TikTok to China's BiteDance on the pretext of protecting personal information.

"To accelerate our international growth, we plan to recruit about 3,000 engineers from Canada, Europe, Singapore as well as the United States to Tiktok's international team of engineers over the next three years," said a Tiktok spokesperson.

He added that the company will have an engineering hub in the United States and will recruit more manpower. TikTok currently has about a thousand engineers outside of China, about half of whom are based in California.
