Facebook and Instagram rejected 2.2 million advertisements

Facebook and Instagram have rejected 2.2 million ads trying to "block the vote" in the US presidential election, and 120,000 posts have been withdrawn.

He said this in an interview given by the vice president of Facebook Nick Clegg on Sunday.

The former British deputy prime minister told the French weekly Journal du Dimanche that 150 million fake information posts had been posted online as a warning.

Facebook is trying to prevent a recurrence of the events of the 2016 presidential election, in which Trump won. At the time, the network was used to manipulate voters from Russia. The same thing happened with the 2016 British referendum on leaving the European Union.

Klig, Facebook's vice president of global affairs and communications, said 35,000 employees are overseeing the security and selection of our platform.

"We have partnered with 70 specialized media outlets, including five in France, to verify the information," he said. AFPO's partner.
