TikTok is banned in Pakistan

 


Pakistan's telecom regulator has banned the country's popular social media app, TikTok. TikTok has been blocked in the country for allegedly having immoral and pornographic content. The app, which is owned by ByteDance, has been hit hard by various obstacles to global security risks. News Reuters.

The Pakistan Telecommunications Authority (PTA) said the video-sharing platform was banned on the basis of allegations from various sections of society against unethical and pornographic content.

The PTA added that the ban would be reconsidered if TikTok could point out the proper way to moderate illegal content. TikTok has also agreed to work with the PTA in this regard.
